Artist: Samantha Norbury

Devon born and raised artist Samantha Norbury is an artist who specializes in animal and human portraiture.

She loves to use pencil to create her artwork both in colour and graphite with her largest pieces taking 60 hours plus to create!

She finds the control found with the Derwent brand of pencils allows her to create the amount of detail she endeavours to include in her work each time and more recently she has started experimenting with ink and paint in her art.

Although not a full-time artist, she still spends every spare minute creating art and is never happier than when she is sat drawing with her two dogs Bear & Bosley by her side.

In 2012 she was commissioned by Derwent to draw a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee and has since enjoyed being an ambassador for the UK brand.
